We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Activities Director to join our team at Skilled Nursing of Hendersonville. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive activity program that meets the social, emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development: Create and implement a diverse range of activities and events that cater to the interests and abilities of our residents, including physical, intellectual, social, and emotional activities.
- Event Planning: Coordinate and execute events and activities both within and outside the facility, ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents.
- Resident Engagement: Provide individualized activities and support to residents who are unable to participate in group events.
- Community Outreach: Establish partnerships with local community groups, organizations, and agencies to enhance our activity program and provide opportunities for residents to engage with the community.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and reports of activity participation, resident feedback, and program evaluation.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Activities Development, Recreational Therapy, Elder Care, or Social Work.
- Training and Experience: Completion of the DSS-required 48-hour Activities Training course and a minimum of one year of experience in activity programming for seniors.
- Skills and Qualities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Certifications and Licenses: Current driver's license in North Carolina and a clean driving record.
