Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our building systems and maintaining the overall quality of our hotel.
Responsibilities- Preventative Maintenance: Assist with preventative maintenance tasks, including replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, and patching vinyl, to maintain the hotel's high standards.
- Electrical Systems: Perform checks on electrical systems, including air conditioning controls, television sets, and lighting systems, and make minor repairs and replacements as needed.
- Equipment Maintenance: Assist with the maintenance of all hotel equipment, including small appliances, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, boilers, pool equipment, HVAC, hand and power tools, and general plumbing systems and fixtures.
- Pool Maintenance: Service the hotel's pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters, and completing maintenance request forms and record logs.
- Exterior Maintenance: Maintain the building exterior and curb appeal, including snow removal, lawn care, painting, and gardening.
- Furniture Refurbishment: Refurbish furniture and fixtures within guest rooms, including cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and counters, and paint and finish furniture and fixtures as needed.
- Guest Service: Respond to guest questions, complaints, and requests in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring strong guest satisfaction.
- Physical Demands: Exposure to extreme temperatures, operation of heavy machinery, and regular lifting of 25-50 pounds.
- Availability: Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
- Vocational schooling, military training, certification, and/or experience in building-related trades, such as HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Carpentry.
- Hotel experience preferred.
- Climbing, reading, standing, walking, and regularly lifting 25-50 pounds.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
