Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Aloft Downtown Minneapolis. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assist in scheduling and completing preventive maintenance for buildings and equipment
  • Diagnose and repair problems with equipment and systems
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field
  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow directions in a multi-lingual environment
  • Special boilers license or willingness to obtain one, if applicable
  • Current and valid driver's license required
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe and clean work environment

Work Environment:

  • Frequent exposure to the outdoors, including wind, snow/ice, and rain
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration
