Job Summary

The Assistant General Manager is a key member of the hotel management team, responsible for assisting the General Manager in maintaining proper controls for all hotel operations in accordance with company policies and franchise standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Assist in developing and implementing financial plans and budgets to achieve hotel financial goals and targets.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure that all hotel departments are operating efficiently and effectively, with a focus on guest satisfaction and employee productivity.
  • Leadership and Development: Lead and develop a team of hotel staff, providing coaching, training, and feedback to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Quality and Safety: Establish and maintain high standards of quality and safety in all hotel departments, ensuring that all guests and employees have a safe and enjoyable experience.
  • Guest Services: Provide exceptional guest service, responding to guest complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Hotel Maintenance: Ensure that all hotel facilities and equipment are well-maintained, with a focus on preventing breakdowns and minimizing downtime.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all hotel operations are in compliance with company policies, franchise standards, and local laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent; college degree in hospitality management or business preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of management experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of hotel staff.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and engineering.
  • Language: Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
