Job Description:

X Energy, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Professional to support general accounting operations and control company financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with experience in reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead in the timely and accurate month-end close process.
  • Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, and consolidating transactions.
  • Prepare and maintain reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and other general ledger accounts.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Responsible for Project Setup and Maintenance in the accounting system.
  • Responsible for Billing.
  • Research proper accounting treatments for certain transactions as needed.
  • Troubleshoot any recurring process issues, determining root causes and driving solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, including Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Manage the Accounting group email inbox and respond to inquiries.
  • Shares knowledge related to industry best practices and standards with others across the team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited university.
  • Typically, ten years of experience in an accounting role, in which a minimum of two years must be in government contracting performing similar tasks is required.
  • In lieu of a bachelor's degree in accounting, ten plus years of accounting experience, in which a minimum of two years must be in government contracting performing similar tasks is required.
  • Intermediate level knowledge in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) with a focus on Excel required.
  • Working experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g. Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, Jamis).
  • Knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards required.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.

Compensation:

As required by Maryland and other applicable state law, X Energy, LLC (X-energy) lists the expected compensation range for a publicly advertised job opportunity based upon the job requirements (e.g. education/training, experience, skill sets, etc.). Individual candidates who meet the job requirements for the posted position will be offered a salary within this range based on their respective levels of education/training, experience, and other qualifications unique to them. Salary ranges may vary based on the specific office location and region referenced in the posting to take into consideration differences in cost of living and may not be reflective of all regions. Please note that compensation ranges listed for US job postings reflect base salary only and do not include benefits or other incentives. A reasonable estimate for this position at the level of experience required is: $95,400 to $121,900.
