We are seeking a Customer Payments Representative to join our team in Thomasville, Georgia.

Job Description

This entry-level position requires strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently, making frequent decisions that impact complex customer interactions. The ideal candidate will have great communication skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and process payments from customers, balancing cash and negotiable instruments.
  • Provide accurate change and return receipts to customers.
  • Count and bundle money received throughout the day.
  • Ensure daily deposits match bank postings.
  • Gather information for other departments and provide detailed answers to public inquiries.
  • Offer exceptional customer service, meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  • Assist colleagues and manager with additional tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • Willingness to undergo a criminal background check and complete a drug screen.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Good credit history essential.
  • Prior experience handling large amounts of cash preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Frequent use of keyboard, reading, math skills, eye-hand coordination, clear vision, hearing, and contact with the general public.
