Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Histology Assistant to join our team at MD Anderson Cancer Center. This role is essential in supporting our laboratory operations and ensuring the highest standards of specimen handling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of surgical specimens for analysis.
  • Sort and accurately identify specimens under the guidance of experienced staff.
  • Prepare necessary solutions and ensure laboratory equipment is well-maintained.
  • Support the management of inventory and supplies to facilitate smooth laboratory operations.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the team.
Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with current enrollment in the Histotechnology program at the School of Health Professions.
