Position Overview:
As an Automation Systems Engineer, you will be engaged in the creation of robotic control software and infrastructure that encompasses the entire spectrum from low-level mechanical components to advanced visual systems.

Key Responsibilities:
You will be involved in developing algorithms and state machines related to robotic movement and planning, perception, feedback control, signal processing, and more.

Your role will include overseeing the implementation of your solutions in real-world scenarios, as well as establishing metrics to evaluate and enhance the systems you develop.

Essential Experience:
To excel in this position, you should have experience with production robotics data workflows, including:
- Dataset creation
- Data analysis
- Model training and validation

Daily Activities:
- Collaborate with developers, engineers, project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and scope.
- Design, program, test, and troubleshoot software for robotic systems.
- Ensure the safe, reliable, and precise operation of robotic machines by identifying and implementing necessary modifications.
- Develop software for computer vision applications and robotic control.
- Integrate machine learning techniques with robotic applications.
- Create innovative controllers for multi-robot and human-robot collaboration.
- Formulate planning algorithms for safe operations.
- Incorporate customer specifications into the design of robotic systems.

Qualifications:
- Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, robotics, or a related field.
- Comprehensive understanding of robot kinematics, dynamics, and control systems.
- Proficient in C++ and Python, with experience in library development.
- Strong mathematical, physical (kinematics, dynamics), and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with contemporary robotics and state estimation techniques is preferred.
- Knowledge of real-time systems and scalable software architectures.
- Solid grasp of algorithms and data structures.

Compensation:
The base salary for this role ranges from $100,000 to $170,000, with actual pay determined by factors such as relevant experience, skills, and education.
