About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechatronics Engineer to join our team at Dexterity. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the architecture of our Mechatronics Software stack.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software interfaces for hardware devices
  • Collaborate with software engineers to implement mechatronics software
  • Analyze requirements and review code to ensure quality and performance
  • Mentor junior developers and communicate best practices
  • Evaluate new technologies and recommend tools to improve our solutions
Requirements
  • MS or PhD in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Expert level knowledge of EtherCAT, CAN, and CANopen
  • Experience with motor control, peripherals, and sensors in industrial or automotive domain
  • 7+ years of experience using Modern C++ in production
  • Knowledge of multi-threaded, non-blocking, and asynchronous programming
  • Delivering highly performant, real-time software
  • Knowledge of Linux and real-time operating systems
  • Proficiency with C++ toolchain
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Awareness of mechatronics devices and tools in AV and Robotics spaces
