Position Overview

In the role of Automation Engineer, you will take charge of automating test cases. Collaborating closely with software developers, you will utilize a variety of tools to ensure the software meets specified requirements through effective API and UI test automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain automation frameworks for API, UI, and Performance/Load Testing.
  • Design and implement a streamlined CI/CD process for automated builds and releases using GitHub Actions.
  • Evaluate and provide feedback on developer-created test cases.
  • Communicate testing outcomes and identify potential quality concerns.
  • Manage task prioritization and handle ad-hoc requests efficiently.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, accompanied by a minimum of 2 years of professional software development experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in RESTful API development and/or Test Automation scripting using Karate.
  • Proficiency in automation development with frameworks such as Selenium and Cypress for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Experience in performance/load testing development and/or testing using tools like Gatling or K6 for at least 2 years.
  • Familiarity with GoLand, Python, and Ansible for at least 1 year.
  • Desirable knowledge of OpenAPI specifications and SwaggerHub.
  • Proficient in SQL, Java, JSON, and version control systems like Git.
  • Hands-on experience with continuous integration and delivery processes is essential.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and Test-Driven Development.
  • A DevOps mindset aimed at enhancing CI/CD practices using GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with Agile software development practices, including tools like JIRA, Peer Review, Git, and CI/CD.
  • A strong sense of ownership and pride in your contributions to the company's success.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • A collaborative team player with effective time-management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of developing Terraform Providers and Command Line Interfaces (CLI).
  • Familiarity with SDK generation processes via OpenAPITools.
  • Understanding of advanced networking technologies and services, including MPLS, VPLS/VPWS, Ethernet, IP/VPN routing protocols, and architectures, is advantageous but not mandatory.
