About the Position:
The U.S. Courts is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Clerk of the Panel. As the chief operational officer, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the panel's programmatic areas and supervising the operations of the Clerk's office. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a minimum two-year commitment. The ideal candidate will have at least ten years of progressively responsible legal or administrative experience in public service or business, with a proven track record of managing organizations and teams. A bachelor's degree from a college or university of recognized standing is required, and a law degree is preferred.

Responsibilities:
The Clerk of the Panel will be responsible for consulting with and making recommendations to the Panel Executive regarding policies and procedures, analyzing statutes, local rules, and procedures affecting the operations of the panel, managing personnel, including staff responsible for case management operations, designing and managing training programs, overseeing administrative functions, preparing and managing the annual budget, serving as the certifying and disbursing officer, directing financial functions, issuing process, maintaining official records, managing automation and information technology services, providing logistical planning support for hearings and conferences, serving as a liaison to the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, and responding to queries about panel procedural operations. Estimated Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 per year.
