Job Summary

The Environmental Health and Safety Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental safety and health strategies within the organization, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and standards.

Conduct daily audits to identify and mitigate risks, and follow up on corrective actions to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage and eliminate EHS operational risks and hazards to ensure an accident-free and eco-friendly work environment.
  • Utilize data to reduce the environmental footprint and increase sustainability.
  • Address at-risk behaviors and conditions, and track corrective measures to ensure effectiveness and timely completion.
  • Support the EHS Rewards and Recognition Program.
  • Develop the EHS annual site budget to control fixed and variable cost expenditures.
  • Collaborate with line managers and supervisors to investigate incidents and injuries, and provide feedback on operational safety and environmental performance.
  • Support the SHE Pillars and associated sub-committees.
  • Provide EHS reports, including OSHA, RCRA, SARA, and EPA reports, per scheduled deadlines.
Education

A minimum of a B.S. or B.A. degree in Engineering, Environmental, or Natural Sciences, or a related technical discipline is required.
