Job Title: Health and Safety Specialist

IPEX is a leading provider of plastic piping systems, and we're seeking a skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our HSE team, you will be responsible for coordinating the implementation and maintenance of our health, safety, and environmental program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement site-specific HSE procedures, training, and work instructions.
  • Lead the implementation of HSE programs and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct gap analysis and develop action plans to improve HSE performance.
  • Support investigations into HSE non-conformances, accidents, and environmental releases.
  • Monitor and report on environmental performance indicators.

Requirements:

  • Technical diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in a health, safety, and environment role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong digital literacy and technical proficiency.

Working Conditions:

The Health and Safety Specialist will spend most of their time in the plant and yard, and may be exposed to moderate levels of hazards, such as heat, dust, and high noise levels. The role requires standing and walking for extended periods and may involve lifting objects up to 20 lbs. The employee will be required to wear personal protective equipment, including high-visibility clothing, protective eyewear, and safety shoes.
