Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Segment Director - Water & Wastewater.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the chance to engage in proactive business development that aligns with the division's strategic objectives in regions requiring heightened focus. Your daily activities will include providing business support, leveraging your expertise in products, applications, solutions, and customer support for the designated product portfolio. You will demonstrate your proficiency by ensuring profitable business growth and the sustainable execution of the division's strategic initiatives. The work model for this position is remote. Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Leading and cultivating sales of water solutions for Low Voltage Drives among targeted consulting engineers, municipalities, and system integrators, utilizing company resources to establish a unique value proposition around ABB drives. You will deliver presentations to elucidate the technical advantages of ABB VFDs, persuading stakeholders of their benefits.
  • Building robust relationships at various levels with key clients to become a trusted advisor and foster preference for ABB products.
  • Providing critical market and customer insights to ABB for product enhancements and new product development.
  • Maintaining a project pipeline through a CRM tool, ensuring an accurate opportunity funnel to aid in sales forecasting.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in engineering or a technical field) with 8 years of relevant sales/business experience, or an Associate degree with 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
  • Proven track record of sales within the municipal water sector, including experience with consulting engineers.
  • Preferred market knowledge in Low Voltage Drives and associated systems.
  • Candidates must possess work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the US.
