Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression of our practice.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to email inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the dental office schedule, ensuring that patients are seen in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring that all necessary information is up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Organize and maintain patient documents, including medical histories, treatment plans, and billing information.
  • Collect and post payments, monitor aging accounts receivable, and ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Correspond with dental colleagues regarding mutual patients, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Manage office supplies and maintain a clean and welcoming reception area, ensuring that our office is well-organized and efficient.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a dental receptionist or similar medical office role.
  • Proficient in using office management software and systems, including Oryx Dental Software.
  • Basic understanding of dental terminology and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients and staff members in a professional and courteous manner.
