Job Summary

Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Control and Estimating Systems Analyst to lead efforts in automating the cost estimating process and enhancing quality control across all estimates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement automation tools to streamline the cost proposal process, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all estimates.
  • Lead the standardization and quality control of cost models to improve accuracy, mitigate risks, and comply with organizational and client standards.
  • Utilize advanced software solutions, including Excel VBA, to enhance estimating efficiency and automate key aspects of the process.
  • Collaborate with estimating personnel to align processes with BSNC's standards and ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other applicable requirements.
  • Maintain and improve a comprehensive cost database to ensure accuracy in future estimates and support long-term forecasting.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify cost drivers, mitigate risks, and align estimates with project budgets and timelines.
  • Prepare and present cost proposals, risk analyses, and project estimates to senior management, ensuring transparent and accurate communication.
  • Ensure all cost proposals comply with FAR, Service Contract Act (SCA), Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA), and other regulatory standards.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to gather accurate data and resources for developing cost estimates that meet client and organizational needs.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in cost estimating, pricing, or a related field, particularly in government contracting and operational support.
  • 5+ years of experience in business systems applied VBA coding.
  • Task-oriented, self-motivated with the inherent ability to multitask, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and work as a team member.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel VBA and other automation tools for developing cost proposal templates and streamlining workflows.
  • Deep knowledge of FAR, SCLS/SCA, CBA, and other regulatory frameworks affecting cost proposals.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in building and maintaining cost databases for accuracy and future planning.
Work Environment

The job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. Occasional travel may be required.
