Engineering Project Manager

Wright Technical Services is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Project Manager to oversee all technical and financial aspects of a project. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal departments and customers to ensure timely completion of all project deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:- Create project charters and ensure total project technical excellence.
- Work closely with internal departments and customers to guarantee completion of all project deliverables to schedule.
- Develop and communicate changing instructions for hours and expenses for the entire project team.
- Manage and update the project schedule with all internal departments to ensure all project milestones are met on time.
- Conduct bi-weekly or monthly project team meetings to ensure the team understands current status, technical, and financial issues and the overall project status to deliverables.
- Manage and report on schedule and budget with actuals and forecast to business management.
- Review billable hours on a biweekly basis to ensure that billable hours are accounted for correctly.
- Produce project-specific cash flows.
- Initiate all phases of the project per the schedule—hardware design, drafting, purchasing, manufacturing, testing.
- Conduct customer status meetings through the design and commissioning process.
- Coordinate and lead customers through the Factory Acceptance Test.
- Engineering degree or project management degree (or relevant experience).
- At least 3 to 5 years of related industrial or automation experience.
- Aptitude in electrical and mechanical devices as pertains to metals industry automation.
- Can apply basic PLC programming, HMI systems, high voltage equipment and interfaces, and automation techniques as it pertains to the metals industry.
- Must have leadership qualities and knowledge of leading a team and managing individuals to ensure project goals.
- Understanding of customer relationships and the interaction within the project.
- Dedication to producing a technical and financially excellent project for company and the end customer.
- Flexibility and adaptability to shift focus to augment or help other projects or teams outside the primary scope of duties.
- Desire to continue to learn and adapt to new skills.
- Continually improve skills and knowledge to advance within the organization.
- Bring new information, ideas, and practices to the team, but also being capable of following direction and orders from management and leadership.
