About the Role

Micron Technology is seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to lead our SSD PDT team in designing and developing innovative storage solutions. As a key member of our Datacenter SSD Product Development Team, you will be responsible for taking SSDs from design to high-volume manufacturing, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead customer-focused teams to tailor SSD solutions to meet customer requirements and exceed expectations.
  • Collaborate with applications and customer management teams to identify and comprehend product requirements and customer expectations.
  • Design and develop products across the datacenter SSD product portfolio, working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Coordinate customer qualification test activities and lead debug efforts for any failures.
  • Manage planning, execution, and project progress, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Lead technical discussions with customers, including product design reviews, responding to customer inquiries, and driving RCA/FA reports.
Requirements
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Direct knowledge of SSD products and system applications.
  • A minimum of 7 years of proven experience in SSD product development and technical leadership.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of NAND flash memory and SSD architecture.
  • Strong understanding of PCIe/NVMe interface protocols and OCP datacenter SSD specification.
  • Project management skills with experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer engagement.
What We Offer

Micron Technology offers a competitive salary range of $143,000.00 to $280,000.00, depending on location and experience. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, paid time off, and paid holidays.
