Job Title: Material Supervisor

Job Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all data and information for a flawless material flow are available.
  • Coordinate material flow activity and support Business Performance Dashboards (BPD) and Scorecard achievement.
  • Ensure internal controls compliance for their functions and work with material supervisors.
  • Assist stockmen and communicate receiving process to unloading and receiving areas.
  • Ensure correct inventories for Component/Press/Assembly material (inventory control process).
  • Interface with suppliers, Logistics, and plant floor on material issues.
  • Monitor pull systems through periodic audits and evaluate the PPS Concerned Parts Report daily.
  • Take action if necessary and respond to and resolve floor problems in the assigned floor area.
  • Resolve other supplier non-conformances and manage part buffers using regional tools.
  • Participate on the Production Floor Efficiency Program (PFEP) team and confirm/issue Purchase Requisition Reports (PRRs) for various issues.
  • Follow up on supplier responses and manage material flow on source changes.
  • Maintain all plant material records and investigate record errors.
  • Investigate part histories to identify misuse, specification problems, unaccounted scrap, or potential theft.
  • Investigate O, S, and D's and maintain supplier parameters on MAO6 schedules.
  • Be responsible for as-required material such as shims and wheel weights and maintain ISO standards.
  • Implement, monitor, and maintain Global Material Standards (GMS) elements.
  • Perform receiving/material receipt analysis and investigate losses.
  • Audit the receiving process, follow up, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Participate in the Material Goods Order (MGO)/SAP part information data transfer for Engineering Changes.
  • Perform supplier evaluation and development and be responsible for the Pick-up sheet process adherence.
  • Work with the plant to process Aftersales/Service parts orders based on system requirements.
  • Participate in the investigation of premium transportation issues and perform Material Requirements (MR) analysis.
  • Investigate and verify carrier claim validity prior to submission to Logistics or Transportation Coordinator.
  • Be responsible for end-of-model obsolescence and determine supplier over shipments.
  • Obtain authorization for material return and coordinate inter-plant and SPO sales.
  • Coordinate the disposal of physical inventory.

  • 3+ years of experience.
