Job Summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a skilled Transfer Nurse to join our team. As a Transfer Nurse, you will play a critical role in facilitating the transfer of patients to our health system in a safe, successful, and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all aspects of patient transfers, utilizing clinical expertise to prioritize transfers based on urgency and acuity.
  • Evaluate and coordinate the flow process of taking calls and facilitating the acceptance/triage of calls throughout the transfer center.
  • May perform the duties and responsibilities of the Bed Management RN.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians and staff to achieve quality outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
  • Three (3) years of RN clinical inpatient experience required.
  • Experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate clinical information and interact effectively with physicians and staff to achieve quality outcomes.
