**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Roll Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the disassembly and assembly of bearing housings and internal roll components, using air tools and hand tools, hydraulic bearing/gear pullers. They will also perform visual inspections of roll components and parts, document repair requirements, and safely handle rolls and components using overhead cranes and forklifts.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Disassemble and assemble bearing housings and internal roll components
  • Use air tools and hand tools, hydraulic bearing/gear pullers
  • Perform visual inspections of roll components and parts
  • Document repair requirements
  • Safely handle rolls and components using overhead cranes and forklifts

**Requirements**

  • Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, cutting with a torch, basic layout, blueprint reading, and precision measurement
  • Preferred candidate will have knowledge of bearings, chains, sprockets, and troubleshooting techniques
  • Ability to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods
  • Willingness to wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, ear plugs, steel toe boots, etc.)
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations
