About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at International Paper. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and emergency repairs to maintain plant equipment and facilities in optimal operating condition.
  • Follow all safety rules and practices to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Reference equipment manuals and technical literature to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to achieve desired results.
  • Accurately use measurement and test equipment to diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system, and other repairs and installations as needed.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, and clean up work areas as part of completing assigned tasks.
  • Accurately and completely prepare and maintain maintenance records and other paperwork.
  • Trouble-shoot and solve problems in a timely and effective manner.
  • Maintain teamwork with other associates and keep supervision informed of problems and/or unusual situations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma (or GED) is required.
  • 2 to 3 years of verifiable maintenance experience in a warehouse environment.
  • The ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the job with or without accommodations.
  • The ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • The ability to accurately use and read a variety of measuring devices, and possess well-rounded electrical, mechanical, and machine shop skills and experience.
