Duke Ophthalmology Cornea and Ocular Immunology Faculty Position

Duke Eye Center is seeking a highly qualified, full-time, fellowship-trained cornea and external disease specialist to join the esteemed Foster Center for Ocular Immunology. The ideal candidate will have a concentration in ocular surface disease and ocular immunology, with a strong background in basic, clinical, and translational research.
Responsibilities- Provide exceptional clinical and surgical skills, particularly in high-risk grafts, limbal stem transplants, and keratoprosthesis.
- Engage in academic cornea and ocular immunology, with a focus on teaching and mentoring cornea fellows and ophthalmology residents.
- Contribute to research activities, with opportunities for collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited ophthalmology residency training program and certification by the American Board of Ophthalmology or eligibility.
- Completion of a fellowship in cornea and external disease with training in ocular immunology and post-fellowship work experience.
