Position Overview:

The Strategic Technology Director at New York University will provide visionary leadership and operational management for clinical technology services. This influential position holds delegated authority for policy and programmatic decisions, particularly on clinical systems and technology. Key responsibilities include overseeing the clinical technology environment, developing a comprehensive strategy, and fostering collaboration with stakeholders to align technology with the College's overall mission.

Key Qualifications:

Required Education:
Bachelor's degree

Preferred Education:
Relevant industry certifications, i.e. Cybersecurity, data science, etc.

Required Experience:
10+ years of increasingly responsible experience managing clinical information technology. Proven experience in a leadership role. Must have substantial managerial experience in formulating, planning, leading, directing, and controlling a complex, broad, and highly technical healthcare or related function.

Preferred Experience:
7+ years of experience in healthcare or academic IT management or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Key Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a strategic vision for technology services that align with organizational objectives. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and deliver operational results. Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff. Wide range of in-depth technical understanding across IT disciplines.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of current and emerging healthcare and information technologies and systems.

Additional Information:

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $165,000.00 to USD $218,470.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
