Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Human Resources Support Specialist plays a crucial role in providing administrative assistance across various HR and Credentialing functions. This position serves as the primary point of contact for applicants and internal staff, both in person and via telephone. Strong communication skills are essential due to the interaction with all organizational levels. The specialist will take direction from senior management, including the Executive Director and the Director of Human Resources, to ensure smooth operations within the administrative office. The ability to prioritize daily tasks and demonstrate a commitment to excellent customer service is vital.

Core Responsibilities

Human Resources:

  • Manage recruitment efforts for all open positions.
  • Coordinate interview schedules for HR personnel.
  • Assist the HR Specialist with onboarding new hires.
  • Prepare New Hire documentation for staff and faculty members.
  • Generate and distribute monthly reports (e.g., birthdays, anniversaries, new hires).
  • Maintain up-to-date HR spreadsheets.
  • Organize Employee Appreciation events and holiday celebrations.
  • Provide backup support for the Office Coordinator, including mail sorting, phone answering, and filing.
  • Exhibit reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Credentialing:

  • Manage entries for Provider Continuing Medical Education (CME).
  • Update and attest to the Master Roster with insurance providers.
  • Maintain and attest to the Provider CAQH records.
  • Handle verification requests.
  • Ensure proper documentation coding and maintenance.
  • Track immunizations and required certificates.
  • Oversee protocol coding and upkeep.
  • Log Continuing Medical Education activities.
  • Assist with miscellaneous credentialing projects.
  • Manage expirable documents such as licenses and certificates.

Qualifications:

Education: A High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required; some college education is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of one to two years of relevant experience is required.
