Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supportive Housing Property Manager to join our team at the Tenderloin Housing Clinic. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our residential properties, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety, and providing exceptional support services to our tenants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Hire, train, direct, supervise, develop, evaluate, and performance manage the daily activities of staff in accordance with THC policies and directives.
  • Administration and Operations: Work with the department leadership to foster program development and achieve targeted objectives and outcomes. Ensure the hotel(s) meets outcome, occupancy, safety, quality, and financial goals and objectives.
  • Tenant Services: Conduct tenant screenings, lease signings, day-to-day operations, unit turnovers, pest control, rent collection, rent increases, income certification, lease and behavioral management, and evictions in a supportive manner.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to building emergencies 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, implementing emergency plans whenever necessary.
  • Community Relations: Develop and maintain productive relationships with community neighbors, including police and fire departments.
Requirements
  • Education: High School degree or equivalent required; BA/BS degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in property management and/or 3 years of experience in social work/case management in a Supportive Housing Model.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to analyze and solve problems, and experience working with diverse populations.
  • Certifications: Must pass all post-contingency offer background checks, reference checks, and TB screening clearances.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Experience working effectively with diverse, low-income, homeless and/or formerly homeless population.
  • Education: Experience working in non-profit or public sector.
