VP of IT - Strategic Digital Platforms

Job Summary:

The Vice President of IT - Strategic Digital Platforms will lead the Entegris Digital Innovation Platform (EDIP) by developing, integrating, and optimizing advanced digital platforms to accelerate the speed of experimentation and science.

This role emphasizes leveraging AI, generative AI, hyperscaler technologies, engineering technologies, and PLM platforms to drive innovation, efficiency, and competitive advantage.

The EDIP platform will enable our research and development teams globally to collaborate on building new technology and solutions in collaboration with our customers.

The VP will collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure the strategy of EDIP aligns with business Strategic Long Range Planning (SLRP) objectives and deliver maximum value for our business and our customers.

It will help narrow the gap between where we stand as a company now to what potential we are capable of in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a strategic vision for digital platforms focusing on AI, generative AI, hyperscaler technologies, engineering technologies, and PLM platforms.
• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and trends to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
• Create and implement a roadmap for the development, integration, and optimization of digital platforms. The roadmap should be oriented to enable tangible business value and deliver on innovation in smaller increments over the strategic horizon.

Hyperscaler Technologies:

• Collaborate with the Infrastructure and operations team to lead the deployment and management of hyperscaler solutions (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, IBM, etc.) to ensure scalability, flexibility, and cost-efficiency.
• Optimize the use of hyperscaler services, including compute, storage, databases, and networking, to support digital platform initiatives. Develop a HPC cluster design across the globe to connect across our different tech centers and R&D sites.
• Prepare a framework for connect and collect, enabling data sharing and data modelling at scale while insuring data privacy and security is built into the DNA of the solution.
• Model the solution in quick increments for one of our tech centers and showcase the efficiency of the solution while strategically enabling scale across our different tech centers.
• Ensure robust security, compliance, and governance practices are in place for hyperscaler environments.

AI and Generative AI Integration:

• Oversee the integration of AI and generative AI technologies into digital platforms to enhance business capabilities.
• Collaborate with data scientists and AI experts to implement advanced machine learning models and algorithms.
• Drive the adoption of AI-driven solutions to improve decision-making, automate processes, and deliver personalized customer experiences.
• Enable Automated Experimentation through modelling and simulation technologies. Fasten the speed of experimentation by optimizing these data models and executing them over high-performing compute cloud.

Engineering Technologies:

• Integrate and manage advanced engineering technologies to enhance product development and hand over to manufacturing processes.
• Implement digital twin and IoT technologies to improve operational efficiency and product lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure technology solutions align with business and technical requirements.

PLM Platforms:

• Oversee the implementation and optimization of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platforms to streamline product development and management processes.
• Ensure PLM platforms are integrated with other enterprise systems to provide a seamless flow of information across the organization.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of PLM processes.

Software Engineering and Application Development:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of custom software applications that will model and automate the R&D processes over the EDIP.
• Implement agile and DevOps methodologies to enhance software development processes and improve time-to-market by leveraging Low Code application technologies.
• Ensure applications are scalable, secure, and aligned with business requirements by undertaking a Human-Centered Design approach towards application build and deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet user needs and drive business value.

Team Leadership:

• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of IT professionals specializing in digital platforms, AI, hyperscaler technologies, engineering technologies, and PLM platforms.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
• Set clear goals and performance metrics, providing regular feedback and development opportunities.
• Contribute towards building offshore tech centers to hire the best-in-class technology resources in the field of data and software engineering. Partner with System Integrators to help build these technology centers.

Project Management:

• Oversee the planning, execution, and management of digital platform projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
• Utilize advanced project management methodologies and tools to track progress, manage risks, and report on project status.

Operational Excellence:

• Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of digital platforms through best practices in architecture, development, and operations.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize platform performance and user experience.
• Monitor and evaluate platform performance, making data-driven decisions to enhance functionality and efficiency.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Partner with senior leadership, business units, and external vendors to understand platform needs and priorities.
• Communicate the value and impact of digital platform initiatives to stakeholders, securing their buy-in and support.
• Represent the IT digital platforms function in executive meetings, providing insights and recommendations to drive business success.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Master's degree in Science/Technology field is highly preferred.

• Minimum of 15+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on digital platforms, AI, hyperscaler technologies, engineering technologies, and PLM platforms.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale digital transformation projects involving AI, hyperscaler solutions, software engineering, engineering technologies, and PLM platforms.
• Experience with AI technologies, machine learning models, hyperscaler platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure), engineering technologies, and PLM systems.

• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Indepth knowledge of AI, generative AI, hyperscaler technologies, engineering technologies, and PLM platforms and best practices.
• Proficiency in Agile software management methodologies and tools.
• Ability to manage complex projects and drive change in a dynamic environment.
