Warehouse Inventory Control Associate

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Warehouse Inventory Control Associate to join our team at Palmer Food Services. As a key member of our inventory control team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management processes.

About the Role

This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires strong organizational and analytical skills. You will be responsible for completing daily inventory counts, reconciling discrepancies, and inspecting products for quality and expiration dates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
  • Inspect products for quality and expiration dates
  • Salvage damaged goods and near-expiration items
  • Complete cycle counts and file reports
  • Balance inventory projects and complete them in a timely manner
  • Perform daily cleaning assignments
Requirements
  • 2 years of warehouse experience
  • Basic math skills and experience with inventory management systems
  • Competent typing and communication skills
  • Prior experience with cycle counting and inventory management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working at heights of up to 25 feet

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include:

  • Standing, walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, and sitting
  • Using hands to handle and feel objects, performing fine finger movements, and reaching with hands and arms
  • Lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds on a regular basis
  • Working in freezer and cooler environments
  • Normal vision with or without correction and ability to distinguish colors
  • Fluent speech in English, writing, and communication skills necessary to effectively carry out job functions
