Position Summary:

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for delivering counter service to RGRTA personnel by issuing parts from the existing inventory. This role also involves various inventory management tasks such as conducting cycle counts, performing data entry in inventory management systems, and restocking shelves.

Compensation: The pay range is $ /hr.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver exceptional customer service, including but not limited to:

  • Exhibiting meticulous attention to detail
  • Understanding and adhering to MANCON's Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Manual
  • Welcoming and assisting customers
  • Verifying requisition forms for completeness (signatures, timestamps, part numbers, descriptions, and quantities)
  • Responding to inquiries about part availability
  • Asking relevant questions to ensure accurate parts are identified and provided
  • Notifying customers when requested parts are ready for pickup
Parts Procurement:
  • Occasionally drive to designated locations to acquire parts
  • Provide necessary documentation to vendors (tax-exempt forms, credit references)
  • Review invoices at vendor locations for pricing and quantity accuracy
  • Return items to the MANCON facility promptly
Data Entry Duties:
  • Assist in generating invoices for customer requisitions within the inventory system
  • Support the entry of vendor receiving documents into the inventory system
Inventory Management Tasks:
  • Participate in weekly inventory cycle counts
  • Assist with comprehensive inventory counts at the site
  • Generate sales orders for issued parts
  • Restock shelves as needed
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Follow established protocols for vehicle and equipment maintenance
  • Provide 24-hour support at the RGRTA location during emergencies
  • Travel to vendor locations for parts pickup
  • Assist with inventory research projects as needed
  • Adhere to established procedures
  • Support Store Manager duties as assigned
  • Assist in generating invoices for customer requisitions in the inventory system
  • Assist in entry of vendor receiving documents in the inventory system
  • Participate in comprehensive inventory counts at the site
  • Operate a forklift
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of computer experience
  • Availability for 24-hour support
  • Valid Driver's License with at least two years of driving experience
  • 1 year of experience with automotive or heavy-duty truck components
  • Must obtain and maintain a forklift license
Physical Requirements:

Medium work - Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
