Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Program Coordinator to join our team at Penn State University. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the implementation, enhancement, and assessment of the student resource hub, a newly established initiative aimed at contributing to student success and fostering student belonging.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Student Staff Supervision: Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate 20-30 student staff, developing a thorough training program to help them learn about the online platform, student support resources, and when to escalate questions or situations to other staff.
  • Program Development: Participate in the administration and interpretation of assessment efforts, aid in the ongoing evaluation and training of the virtual assistant, and develop, implement, and present outreach programs to educate the University community about accessing the resource hub.
  • Relationship Building and Management: Collaborate with students, faculty, and staff to effectively identify questions that students repeatedly ask, ensuring the resource hub is accessible and inclusive, addressing the needs of a diverse student population.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who understand current trends in higher education and supervise student staff, with experience working with diverse student populations and engaging with student employees and leaders.
