Job Summary

The Salvation Army Eastern Territory is seeking a highly motivated and organized Program Facilitator to support the Salvation Army Centre County (State College), PA Service Center. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in amplifying the center's positive impact within the community and providing valuable assistance where needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Regional Manager and Caseworker/Program Facilitator in ongoing annual programs such as camp recruitment, Back-To-School assistance events, and daily/weekly emergency financial assistance programs.
  • Coordinate the Red Kettle Fundraising Campaign, entailing sponsorship and volunteer management, engaging with businesses, and overseeing bell ringing logistics.
  • Foster community connections by partnering with local organizations and businesses to promote The Salvation Army Centre County, PA Service Center.
  • Contribute to various fundraising and community events, assisting with correspondence related to approved projects under the guidance of the Regional Manager.
Requirements
  • High School Education with clerical experience required.
  • Working knowledge of computer programs including Windows, Microsoft Word, and Lotus Notes.
  • Excellent telephone skills.
  • Must possess both strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of local organizations, businesses, and individuals is a plus.
  • Must have a drive and a passion for fundraising/donor outreach for The Salvation Army and its programs.
  • Can work independently, as well as within a team.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed. Able to prioritize projects.
