About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at the State of Nebraska. As a Community Development Fiscal Analyst, you will play a critical role in the effective and efficient administration of federal and state aid, ensuring compliance and enhancing outcomes through careful analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compile and submit program and financial data on a quarterly basis, aligning with federal reporting schedules.
  • Conduct program analysis and evaluation, and assist management in program design and decision-making through the development of position/white papers, impact statements, or related research and analysis efforts.
  • Interpret, reconcile, and evaluate financial and performance data for programs in conjunction with grants management using various fiscal systems and desk and remote monitoring.
  • Support oversight of, and evaluate programs with financial, reporting, compliance fiscal and monitoring activities, including the CDBG, CDBG-DR, and CCCFF programs.
  • Research and aid in the preparation of required reports by collecting, analyzing, and reporting program data for performance reports, including federal, state, and other programmatic reporting requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in grants management, business administration, public administration, accounting, budgeting, or a related fiscal field.
  • Four years of experience in grant management, contract administration, accounting, budgeting, or other fiscal-related areas of work.
  • Experience in federal grant management or reporting, project management, economic development, accounting, bookkeeping, customer service, development of policies and procedures, and/or experience with communities in rural Nebraska is preferred.
