Position Summary:

The Sourcing and Procurement Analyst will play a crucial role in facilitating direct material sourcing initiatives related to essential materials and packaging solutions.

Key responsibilities will include leading or assisting projects aimed at achieving financial objectives, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining a secure supply chain.

The Analyst will work closely with internal teams to promote continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers and support the introduction of new products and product launches.


Position Responsibilities:


Procurement Sourcing : Directs the sourcing and contracting of essential raw materials or packaging materials as designated.

Collaborates with Local Category Leads and Global Category Managers to implement projects in line with local and platform sourcing strategies.


Data Analysis:
 Gather and evaluate statistical data to assess product viability and set pricing objectives. Stay informed on pricing trends and manufacturing methodologies.

Supplier Relations:
 Interact with suppliers to evaluate their operations, identify factors affecting pricing, and secure the most competitive costs while ensuring quality, reliability, and adherence to timelines.

Contract Management:
 Develop competitive bid packages, assess proposals, negotiate pricing, select or recommend suppliers, analyze market trends, and maintain necessary documentation.
Conduct contract negotiations and management to align with organizational goals.

Communication:
 Foster regular communication with various levels and departments throughout the organization.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline. Significant experience in raw materials, chemicals, and packaging supplies may be considered in lieu of a degree.
A minimum of three years of procurement experience.
Strong negotiation skills and familiarity with procurement processes.
Excellent communication abilities for effective interaction across all organizational levels.
Strong facilitation skills in evaluating technical and business challenges and forming teams to address procurement opportunities.
Exceptional analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Experience with SAP or Ariba systems is advantageous.
Familiarity with Change Control systems and processes is a plus.

Technical Skills and Competencies:
Knowledge of relevant technical standards, methodologies, principles, theories, concepts, and industry practices/standards, including organizational processes.
Ability to provide solutions to moderately complex problems, referring to policies and practices for guidance.
Ability to operate with minimal supervision, adhering to established procedures, and recommending actions. Work is evaluated for soundness of judgment, overall adequacy, and accuracy.

Physical Position Requirements:

Primarily office-based work (remote and in-person), with occasional filing and other light activities as necessary.
Position involves sitting, standing, and walking.
Work conditions involve over 50% stationary activities with periodic standing and walking throughout the workday.
