We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Property Accountant to enhance our dynamic team. This permanent role provides an exciting opportunity to engage in the financial oversight of our real estate portfolio.
The Senior Property Accountant will be responsible for financial reporting, accounting, and reconciliation across various real estate properties, utilizing industry-leading software such as Yardi and CAM.
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to leverage their skills in a challenging and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the financial oversight of a portfolio of properties, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Conduct general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate invoice payments.
- Perform CAM reconciliations and prepare tenant billing for CAM charges.
- Utilize Yardi software for property accounting and financial reporting tasks.
- Collaborate with property managers and stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Participate in the year-end audit process, providing necessary documentation and support to auditors.
- Continuously review and recommend enhancements to financial processes and systems for efficiency and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in property accounting or real estate accounting.
- Proficiency in financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and accounts payable.
- Strong experience with Yardi software and CAM reconciliations.
- Comprehensive understanding of real estate accounting principles and regulations.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
- Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Self-starter with a high degree of initiative, flexibility, and adaptability.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
