About the Role:

The YM & YWHA of Washington Heights & Inwood seeks a skilled Communications and Marketing Director to lead our marketing efforts and represent the organization at community events. This full-time, onsite position is responsible for creating and implementing effective marketing strategies that grow and deepen the organization's reach and impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Execute Marketing Plans: Create and implement comprehensive marketing plans to promote the organization's programs and services, targeting specific audiences and leveraging various communication channels.">
  • Represent the Organization: Serve as the primary representative of the YM & YWHA at community events, showcasing the organization's marketing assets and promoting its mission.">
  • Content Creation: Write, design, and produce high-quality content, including publications, social media posts, and other marketing materials, to engage with potential clients and stakeholders.">
  • Digital Media Management: Oversee the organization's website, social media accounts, and electronic communications, ensuring consistency and effectiveness in online engagement.">
  • Print and Electronic Materials: Manage the creation and distribution of all organizational print and electronic materials, including letterhead, logos, flyers, and more.">
  • Marketing Assets: Develop and utilize marketing assets, such as photography, graphics, and short videos, to enhance the organization's visual identity and storytelling capabilities.">
  • Staying Current: Stay informed about developments in marketing, communications, and public relations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge and skills to drive successful marketing initiatives.">

Compensation and Benefits:

This role offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 to $75,000 per year, along with a generous benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, pension plan, and more.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • ">
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in non-profit marketing and communications is preferred.">
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree is preferred, but not required.">
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google App products, graphic design software, and Adobe Creative Suite is necessary.">
  • Authorization and Clearance: Documentation of U.S. citizenship or eligibility to work in the U.S. and completion of background checks, medical tests, fingerprinting, and other pre-employment requirements are mandatory.">
