Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Parking Enforcement Officer to join our team at Montclair State University. As a Parking Enforcement Officer, you will be responsible for enforcing university parking rules and regulations, interacting with the public, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Touring parking facilities to inspect and note unusual conditions
  • Checking facility elevators for proper functioning
  • Providing relief for fellow facility attendants and enforcers
  • Assisting patrons getting in and out of facilities during peak traffic periods
  • Providing written reports of facility conditions, parking census, and other activities
  • Entering and retrieving information using handheld computers
  • Identifying vehicles in violation of parking codes and taking necessary enforcement action
  • Locating lost, stolen, and counterfeit parking permits
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows PCs and related applications
  • Comfortable with devices running Android and Apple Operating Systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
