We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Music History Professor to join our faculty at Montclair State University's John J. Cali School of Music. As a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor of Music History, you will be responsible for teaching courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, maintaining a research profile in musicology or ethnomusicology, and serving as Head of Music History.

• Teach courses in music history, musicological research methods, and special topics courses in your area of expertise
• Supervise adjunct instructors and course content for Music History and General Music courses
• Oversee offerings in Montclair's general education SEEDS program
• Manage content and review of comprehensive exams for School of Music graduate students
• Collaborate with School of Music faculty in curriculum development

• PhD, EdD, or DMA degree required at time of appointment
• Demonstrated success in teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level preferred
