At UCLA Health, we are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering specialized clinical expertise to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Apply ionizing radiation according to medical prescriptions
- Patient scheduling and appointments
- Perform basic nursing duties
- Perform dose calculations
- Treatment data entry
- Collaborate with physicians, physicists, and dosimetrists to perform simulations and treatment planning CTs
This is a 49% Per Diem position, and you will be working in various locations, including Downtown Los Angeles, Santa Clarita, Santa Monica, and Westwood, with the possibility of future sites.
Requirements:- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification (ARRT License)
- California State License in Radiation Therapy (CRT)
- BLS/CPR from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
You will also need to possess skills in working with different types of treatment machines, such as MR Scanners, CT Scanners, HDR units, and Linear Accelerators, and be able to recognize hazardous conditions. Additionally, you should be able to lift cerrobend blocks weighing up to 35 pounds.
