UCLA Health is seeking a Radiation Oncology Nursing Specialist to join our Radiation Oncology and Brachytherapy department.

The ideal candidate will contribute to the delivery of Magnet designated nursing excellence by providing exceptional nursing care for patients. They will guide team members by supervising nursing interventions and assigning related tasks. Additionally, they will provide coverage for clinical services related to radiation therapy, brachytherapy, and independent prioritization of patient care activities for all Radiation Oncology clinics as assigned.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional nursing care for patients.
  • Guide team members by supervising nursing interventions and assigning related tasks.
  • Provide coverage for clinical services related to radiation therapy, brachytherapy, and independent prioritization of patient care activities for all Radiation Oncology clinics as assigned.


Requirements:

  • Current California RN license required.
  • BSN or MSN required.
  • ACLS & BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
  • Two years of recent med/surg or Oncology experience preferred.
  • ICU/ER/PACU or OR experience preferred.
  • Two years of radiation oncology nursing preferred.
  • OCN preferred.


  • Knowledge of cardiac monitoring and ability to identify dysrhythmias.
  • Ability to perform historical, physical and behavioral patient assessments.
  • Ability to develop and implement and evaluate patient care plan actively involving patients, family, and staff.
