Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping and Maintenance Associate to join our team at Indus Hospitality Group. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized supply cart and ensure that all necessary cleaning supplies are readily available.
  • Sort, count, fold, mark, or carry linens, and change linen and make beds to the highest standards.
  • Sweep, scrub, and mop floors, dust furniture and fixtures, and wash walls, ceiling, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms, empty wastebaskets, and transport trash and waste to disposal areas.
  • Vacuum carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, and move furniture, hang and remove drapes, and roll carpets as needed.
  • Replenish guest room supplies, including bathroom amenities and writing supplies, and ensure that beds are made to standard with fresh clean linens.
  • Inspect rooms for maintenance needs and report deficiencies to management.
  • Clean lobby, lounge, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways as assigned, and replace light bulbs as needed.
  • Deep clean all assigned guest rooms and replenish guest amenities and supplies as needed.
Requirements
  • Up to one month related experience or training; less than high school education; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
  • Ability to communicate with others in a clear and professional manner.
  • Ability to add and subtract numbers up to 100.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions and deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to chemicals, dust and odors, fumes or particles. The associate works in an environment open to the general public. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
