Job Summary

This Material Support Specialist role is responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of materials within the Lockheed Martin facility. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and inspect incoming materials, verifying quantities and quality against shipping documents
  • Accurately record and update inventory levels, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve inventory discrepancies and optimize storage capacity
  • Operate industrial trucks and equipment, adhering to safety protocols and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health, safety, and compliance standards
  • Perform physical demands of the position, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Requirements
  • High School degree or equivalent
  • Basic mathematical skills and knowledge of standard measuring devices
  • Demonstrated capability in the use of standard hand power and bench tools
  • General computer skills and ability to learn new software applications
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance, requiring US Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or inventory management environment
  • Knowledge of inventory management software and systems
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
