Construction Materials Testing Specialist

CME Associates, Inc. is seeking a skilled Construction Materials Testing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for performing material testing and inspection services on commercial construction sites in the Greater Syracuse, NY area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test construction materials such as soils and concrete for quality assurance on commercial sites
- Read construction drawings and specifications and correctly interpret test results
- Complete each testing assignment accurately and in accordance with appropriate standards
- Record and report test results in a clear, concise manner
- Communicate regularly with direct supervisor to provide updates on project details
Requirements:
- HS Diploma
- Associate or bachelor's degree in civil engineering/technology, geology, or related field (ideal but not necessary)
- Ability to obtain certifications through American Concrete Institute (ACI) and International Code Council (ICC) with full support from CME
- Familiarity with construction materials, procedures, and documents a plus
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
