Documentation Specialist Opportunity

Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn's largest healthcare system, is seeking a skilled Documentation Specialist to join our Health Information Services Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze medical records for accuracy and completeness
  • Develop and implement documentation standards and guidelines
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely documentation
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance documentation practices

Requirements:

  • Registered Professional Nurse with Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Or Bachelor's Degree preferred with minimum 4 years acute care clinical experience
  • Or Licensed Nurse Practitioner, Physician's Assistant with acute care clinical experience
  • Or MD with ECFMG qualified or equivalent
  • Or Other professional with clinical background and 4 years acute care experience

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary: $105,000 - $108,150
  • Excellent benefits, including a 403(b) retirement plan
