Job Title: Senior Accountant

Overview:

The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information for Capital Caring Health. This position is responsible for gathering and analyzing financial data, maintaining general ledgers, and preparing financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform professional accounting work to ensure accurate compilation and maintenance of general ledgers.
  • Assist with the preparation and consolidation of financial statements.
  • Prepare monthly expense reports and reconcile balance sheets and statement accounts.

Qualifications:

  • Five years of general ledger experience and two years of preparing consolidations of multi-entity financial statements experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting. A CPA is preferred.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in PC and computerized accounting systems, including word-processing and spreadsheets.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and stressful situations with a positive attitude.

Physical/Mental/Emotional:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively recognize and appreciate the diversity in the workplace.

Computer Skills:

  • Intermediate knowledge of current office software packages, including Microsoft Office.
  • Exposure to database computer systems.

Location: Falls Church, VA

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
