Production Line Technician

Reporting to the Extrusion Supervisor, the selected candidate will undertake various responsibilities associated with the manufacturing of CUP Acquisition LLC's products. Adherence to standard operating procedures and commitment to safe work practices are essential to ensure that production is conducted efficiently and safely. This role involves collaboration with team members to achieve our organizational objectives of zero defects and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:The successful candidate will:
- Package components as specified for each extrusion line according to company standards.
- Examine components for surface quality, color accuracy, profile consistency, and measurements, conducting quality assessments as required.
- Complete all necessary production documentation promptly during the shift.
- Effectively execute standard operating procedures, including the setup of downstream equipment, packaging materials, and related documentation.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- Maintain a tidy and organized workspace, adhering to daily cleaning and 5S principles.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaborating with the team to enhance efficiency, safety, and workplace enjoyment.
Essential Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing demands.
- Required strengths include:
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Preferred experience in:
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with manufacturing tools (e.g., calculator, measuring cup, weighing scale, steel rule, tape measure, calipers, laser gauge).
- Basic blueprint reading skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Knowledge of 5S/Lean Manufacturing/Kanban methodologies.
- Ability to stand in one position and perform repetitive tasks for up to 8 hours.
- Capability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Compliance with safety regulations, including wearing safety glasses, ear protection, and closed-toe footwear on the production floor.
