This role requires collaboration within a team to achieve the company's objectives of zero defects and timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Packaging components as specified for each extrusion line according to company standards.
  • Conducting inspections of products for surface quality, color consistency, profile appearance, and dimensional accuracy, performing quality checks as needed.
  • Completing all required production documentation promptly during the shift.
  • Executing standard operating procedures, setting up downstream equipment, and managing packaging materials and documentation.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned.
  • Maintaining a tidy and organized workspace; adhering to daily cleaning and 5S practices.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaborating with the team to enhance efficiency, safety, and workplace enjoyment.
Qualifications:

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing demands.
  • Proficiency in basic mathematics.
  • Preferred but not mandatory experience in:
    • Basic computer operations.
    • Problem-solving techniques.
    • Utilization of manufacturing tools (e.g., calculator, measuring cup, weighing scale, steel rule, tape measure, calipers, etc.).
    • Basic blueprint interpretation.
    • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
    • Knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and Kanban principles.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand in one position and perform repetitive tasks for up to 8 hours.
  • Capability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Mandatory use of safety glasses, ear protection, and closed-toe footwear while on the production floor.
