Position Summary: Foil Technician
Key Responsibilities:
- Replace all filter cartridges and ensure proper disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
- Clean sludge presses and transport hazardous waste to designated storage areas.
- Dispose of personal protective equipment (PPE) following chemical use protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of empty chemical drums.
- Operate and monitor the performance of production machinery throughout the facility.
- Utilize DCS control systems, dissolving systems, electrolysis cells, treaters, slitters, and water treatment processes.
- Conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment and production machines.
- Ensure the quality of produced foil, adhering to housekeeping and safety standards.
- Evaluate compliance with laws, regulations, and standards using relevant information and personal judgment.
- Follow hazardous waste handling procedures as outlined in the procedures manual.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the copper foil manufacturing process, quality standards, and safety practices.
- Become proficient in the ISO/Quality system and operational work instructions.
- Understand the ISO/Environmental Management system thoroughly.
- Actively engage in quality improvement initiatives.
- Achieve proficiency in all aspects of the copper foil manufacturing operation.
- Contribute to the enhancement of facility processes, procedures, safety, and equipment.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a successful, team-oriented organization.
- Ability to connect individual contributions to team achievements.
- Willingness to take responsibility for health, safety, and environmental issues, as well as quality and productivity.
