Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Center Construction Project Manager with MEP expertise to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale data center construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, as well as experience in managing complex construction projects in the data center industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop and execute comprehensive construction plans for data center projects.
  • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, and fire protection.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to meet project milestones and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure materials and equipment needed for construction activities.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication among project stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in data center construction project management.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, including design principles, installation methods, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, Procore, or Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience working with MEP subcontractors and vendors.
  • Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and standards applicable to data center construction.
  • PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
