About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager to join our Data Center Operations team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the construction of our data centers, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the construction of data centers, including electrical and mechanical systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Develop and implement construction project plans, including budgeting and scheduling
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts
  • Develop and maintain construction project documentation, including reports and records

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in construction management, with a focus on large-scale projects
  • 4+ years of experience in general contractor and vendor management
  • 4+ years of experience constructing electrical and mechanical systems
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering principles
  • Excellent communication and project management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data center design and construction
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations
  • Experience with power management and power monitoring systems
  • Certifications such as Professional Engineer (PE), LEED, and/or Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
