Job Overview

Fort Vancouver of Cascadia is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide essential support in delivering quality care to our residents.

In this role, the CNA will work under supervision to offer fundamental nursing assistance and help residents with their daily living activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responds to resident calls to assess their needs.
  • Assists residents with personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and bathing.
  • Facilitates meal assistance by obtaining food trays and aiding residents during meals.
  • Supports residents with mobility exercises and transfers between wheelchair and activity areas.
  • Helps residents with repositioning in bed and ambulation as required.
  • Records vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, as directed.
  • Documents daily living activities and personal care provided to residents.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary meetings to contribute to care planning.
  • Maintains accurate records of restorative services in accordance with facility policies.
  • Collaborates with staff to ensure person-centered care is delivered based on individual preferences.
  • Ensures punctuality and consistent attendance for scheduled shifts.
Additional Duties
  • Performs other assigned tasks as necessary.
  • Conducts responsibilities in alignment with company policies, applicable laws, and professional standards.
Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Licenses/Certification:

  • Must possess a valid CNA certification in the state of employment.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Experience:

  • Preferred six months of experience in a long-term care setting.

Note: Compliance with state-specific background check requirements is mandatory for all employees.
